Music, technology, and live-event experience
Music has always been a big part of my life, but my journey into DJing started in an unexpected way. While working at Guitar Center in San Jose, California, I learned how to DJ so I could better demonstrate and sell professional DJ equipment. The more I learned, the more I realized I genuinely enjoyed DJing. What started as a way to understand the gear quickly became a passion for mixing music, entertaining crowds, and creating memorable events.
That passion continued through college, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Technology with a Minor in Music from Brigham Young University–Idaho. My music education gave me a strong understanding of rhythm, harmony, and song structure, helping me mix songs in key, beat match smoothly, and build transitions that keep the dance floor moving.
Today, I combine that musical background with years of experience providing professional DJ, live sound, and event production services throughout Northern Nevada and the surrounding region. From weddings and school dances to corporate events, church activities, community celebrations, and live concerts, my goal is always the same: deliver dependable sound, exciting lighting, and an event that feels organized, fun, and memorable.

Reading the room and keeping the energy flowing
I believe a great DJ does more than simply play songs. I am always searching for high-energy remixes, unique edits, and fresh versions of familiar favorites that keep the dance floor exciting while still giving guests the music they know and love.
Every crowd is different, so I do not rely on one pre-made playlist for every event. I mix live, watch how the room responds, and adjust the music as the night develops. Sometimes the energy needs to build. Sometimes it needs room to breathe. Knowing when to change direction is part of creating a successful event.

My background in technology and professional audio helps me build reliable event systems and respond quickly when conditions change. From wireless microphones and ceremony sound to dance-floor audio and lighting, I pay attention to the details that help an event run smoothly.
A wedding reception should not feel like a school dance, and a community race should not be treated like a private party. The music, volume, equipment, microphone use, and timing all need to fit the people and the setting.
